Paul Hart

Being a photographer, Paul Hart explores some areass that have a lot in common with The Netherlands, and especially the area I live in. The Fens is a marshland in the east of England that is reclaimed from the water (just as the ‘polder’ I live in). Paul photographs this area in a way that shows the mundane, the views that are easily overlooked. Beautiful nonetheless, as is visible from the photographs below. There’s a certain kind of sadness in them, a stillness that highlights the shapes humans made in the terrain.

Paul works with various analog medium format cameras, including a Hasselblad 500, developing and printing his own work.
