Thomas Ruff — Houses

As a former student from Bernd and Hilla Becher, this series has a very distinctive look to it. Distant, observant and analytical. By photographing between January and March he created a uniform grey look. All buildings are located around or in Düsseldorf, Germany. This city is located in the industrial Ruhr area, which is very visible in the style of buildings in the project.
