Annie Wang — The Mother as a Creator

Over the course of 21 years Annie Wang documented herself and her son. In these self portraits she visualises the interests of her son and her own creativity, combining them with the tasks of motherhood. Is it possible to stay autonomous as an artist?

The way she uses the previous ‘entry’ to the project as a backdrop creates a vertigo effect that shows the depth and depicts time in a very understandable way.
